Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's second-generation AI video model, released in February 2026. It uses a unified multimodal audio-video architecture to generate cinematic clips from text, images, and references — with native sound, physics-accurate motion, and multi-shot character consistency.
Text prompts, a start frame with an optional end frame, and up to 9 reference images you can tag in the prompt (@Image1, @Image2 …). Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini can also ground text-to-video prompts with web search.
Clips run 4 to 15 seconds. Seedance 2.0 renders at 480p, 720p, 1080p, or 4K; Fast and Mini output 480p or 720p. Choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 21:9, or adaptive framing.
Yes. Turn on Generate Audio and Seedance 2.0 produces dialogue, ambience, and sound effects together with the video — lip-synced and timed to the motion. Describe the sound you want in the prompt.
Creating an account is free. Eligible new users receive 20 welcome credits, exactly enough for one 5-second Seedance 2.0 Mini video at 480p. The form shows and deducts the normal 20-credit cost; this is not a separate zero-credit trial. Further generations use available credits and are priced per second by resolution. Every download is watermark-free.
